Colossal dielectric constant and relaxation behaviors in Pr:SrTiO3 ceramics

Sr(1-x)Pr(x)TiO(3) ceramics (0.00 <= x <= 0.03) were prepared by a traditional solid-state reaction method. Two relaxation processes (marked as A and B) of the Sr(0.09)Pr(0.01)TiO(3) ceramics were investigated by analyzing the E(a) values obtained from the Arrhenius law. Colossal dielectric constant (CDC) was first obtained in Sr(0.09)Pr(0.01)TiO(3) ceramics, whose permittivity was up to 3000 (1 kHz, room temperature), greater than that of pure SrTiO(3) ceramics and samples with more Pr addition (x =0.02 and 0.03).
