摘要
The localized surface plasmon resonance and field enhancement for noble metal (Au, Ag, Al and Cu) nanostructures is studied using the Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) method. From the simulation results, optimum dimensions for RIS and field enhancement are calculated for nanosphere and nanorod structure which serves as a guide in making the optimum choice for a low-loss plasmonic material in various applications mainly plasmonic sensor and SERS. The calculated result shows RIS factor follow sequence as Ag > Al > Au > Cu in DUV-Visible-NIR region i.e. covering the entire range of EM spectrum. By optimizing the structure and material high sensitivity can be obtained in the entire range of the EM spectrum. (c) 2020 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
