A variety of chiral 3,4-dideoxy furanoid sugar amino acids have been synthesized, which were substituted at C6 with different alkyl groups, such as methyl, benzyl, isopropyl and hydroxymethyl synthesized from their corresponding N,N-dibenzy-laminoaldehydes.
