摘要
Austenitic steels as well as nickel-based alloys were exposed to liquid tin, the former at nominally 500 and 700 degrees C and the latter at nominally 700 and 1000 degrees C, using sealed tube samples that were filled with liquid tin. The duration of the tests ranged from 25 to 100 h. In the evaluation of the experimental findings, special emphasis is laid on the identification of principal corrosion modes and possible influences of the applied experimental technique, most notably non-uniform temperature across the sample capsules.
