Radial vibration characteristics of piezoelectric cylindrical transducers

摘要
The vibrational characteristics of piezoelectric cyclindrical transducers was investigated by deriving a characteristic equation for resonance of radial transducers. The piezoelectric natural frequencies of the transducers were also calculated. The numerical results gave information about mode shape, effect of the piezoelectricity on the natural frequency. The dependence of the piezoelectric mode for a cyclindrical transducer was similar to a rigid mode of a plate. Results shows that the fundamental mode increased as the radius of curvature decreased.
