摘要：

This paper outlines the influence of major socio-economical risk factors in oral health and describes the burden of oral diseases. Oral health serves as an excellent model for understanding social disparities in health because the associations among socioeconomic status, oral health and denial care are strong. There is a great deal of research on the relationship between socioeconomic status (SES) and health. The growing literature has documented significantly poorer health among low-SES when compared to high-SES persons.
