About n-propanol oxidation on NiOOH electrode

摘要
The paper presents the results of the study concerning the electrochemical oxidation of n-propanol using the NiOOH electrode, in NaOH aqueous solutions. A reaction mechanism was elaborated and the reaction steps discussed, based on the results from the cyclic voltammetry technique, the influences of experimental factors (temperature, concentration of n-propanol, NaOH concentration, scan rate, electrode activation) on the potentials and currents of the peaks from the voltammetry curves. The reaction was performed at large preparative scale, in a 125 A electrolyser.
