Molecules that are obtained from nature are known to exhibit several biological applications.1 In medicinal chemistry,2 agrochemicals,3 and material sciences,4 it has been observed that compounds containing heteroatoms such as nitrogen, oxygen, and sulfur in their core structures have a wide range of applications. Among them, oxygen-containing molecules such as chromenes and benzochromenes are found to have potential biological applications.5 For example, dihydro mollugin (A) shows antiviral activity6 and mollugin (B) exhibits mutagenic and recombinogenic activities,7 as shown in
