A facile and rapid purification method for single-walled carbon nanotubes

摘要
A combination of sonication and ultracentrifugation method to obtain highly pure and almost individual single wall nanotube (SWNT) in solution was discussed. This method led to successful removal of most of the graphite and other carbonaceous impurities. The degree of purity could be controlled by manipulating the centrifugation speed. SWNT were found to be less bundalized and could be obtained as fine solution/dispersion in 0-dichlorobenzene (0-DCB).
