摘要
The paper reports our results regarding the irradiation of two commercially available, UV multimode optical fibers exposed to electron beam and Bremsstrahlung radiation. The evolution of irradiation induced color centers was monitored on-line. One of the samples was a solarization resistant, H-2-loaded, step-index optical fiber, while the second sample tested was a standard OH, step-index, high fluorine concentration silica clad optical fiber. Maximum total doses were: 220 kGy for electron beam, 3.2 kGy for Bremsstrahlung radiation. Major changes of the optical attenuation were noticed for the wavelengths lambda = 248 nm and lambda = 265 nm.
