By combining the actual situation of general education in Chinese Universities, this paper analyzes the problems existing in several aspects of the curriculum system, such as the curriculum view, objectives, content, structure and activities. This paper further proposes that in the process of undergraduate talent cultivation, the general education system building should pay attention to the following aspects-firmly establishing the concept of general education, establishing and improving the general education curriculum management institutions and the assess and monitoring system, optimizing teaching staffs, attaching importance to the promotion channels of teachers, and constantly enriching the forms of curriculum activities.
