The involvement of stakeholders in defining requirements plays an important role in the product's success. A collaborative workshop can be organized to outline the project's vision and scope, to create a release strategy or iteration plan, or to define requirements in varying levels of details. A collaborative workshop builds and nurtures a healthy project community, not only for requirements but also for the whole development process.
