摘要
The new alkylthioxanthate complexes [Nb2S4(S2CSR)(4)] (R = CH3 (1), C2H5 (2), i-C3H7 (3) and n-C4H9 (4)) were obtained by alkylation of [Nb2S4(CS3)(4)](4-) with the corresponding alkyl iodides (1-3) or bromide (4) in moderate yields. For [Nb2S4(S2CSC2H5)(4)] (2) and [Nb2S4((S2CSC4H9)-C-n)(4)] (4), crystal structures have been determined. The structure of 2 is a racemic mixture of Lambda Lambda and Delta Delta isomers, while [Nb2S4((S2CSC4H9)-C-n)(4)] (4) crystallizes as the Lambda Delta isomer. The Nb-Nb distances in 2 and 4 are 2.87-2.88 angstrom. Thermal decomposition leads to amorphous NbS2. (C) 2014 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
