摘要
A novel compact topology, for approximating fractional-order differentiators, is presented in this paper. The realization of the required integer-order transfer function is performed through the summation of the intermediate low-pass, high-pass, and band-pass filter functions, which is easily implemented due to the current-mode nature of the topology. Attractive offered benefits are the electronic tuning capability and the potential for on-chip integration. The evaluation of the behavior of the differentiator is performed using Cadence software and the Design Kit provided by the Austrian Mikro Systems 0.35 mu m CMOS process, where fractional-order high-pass filter designs are provided.
