The challenges and difficulties in the implementation of ERP systems in Syria

This research aims to identify the difficulties and challenges related to the Syrian situation during the implementation process. The information was collected from multiple sources for analysis and conclusion of difficulties and challenges of ERP implementation and their impact on the different stages of the ERP life cycle. In this research, difficulties and challenges such as lack of academic studies, economic factors, as well as external experts such as consultants, partners, and local companies, have a direct impact on the process of implementation in different stages of ERP lifecycle. This research will help raise awareness of potential risks in an unusual implementation environment. There are many factors that are relatively constant over time and have no observed effect in politically and economically stable environments.
