摘要
Currently the market is globalized, competition between industries is increasing, companies strive to remain competitive, introducing innovative products that are easy to manufacture, assemble and that their cost in materials and manufacturing is minimal. This research shows how to design and develop a product from the point of view of manufacturing and mechanics; at the same time, a case study for the creation of a prototype is explained. This study shows the steps of how a product with a high degree of innovation was devised, which has a patent application. The objective of this article is to present in a clear way the design, development (manufacturing) of a modular device for cleaning glass blinds and at the same time it helps as a guide for the creation of a product. The results of this research show that by following the design phases it is possible to create an apparatus that meets customer requirements, is easy to manufacture, assemble, causing the reduction of parts and cost of materials to be used. The use of this article can serve as a reference and guide for the definition of products in other cases.
