摘要
This study is attempting to apply the VX2 hepatic tumor model of Rabbit for comparison of therapeutic effect of intratumoral injection (ITI) of different chemotherapeutic agents commonly used in chemoembolization of hepatoma with that of percutaneous ethanol injection (PEI). The ITI is carried out with the aid of ultrasound guidance (USG). An adequate concentration of cisplatin, epirubicin, fluorouracil, and mitomycin was injected directly to the tumor percutaneously (PC). We also carried out PEI, and selected nontreated tumors provided a control group. We then compared the therapeutic effect of alcohol injection with these four chemotherapeutic agents, in order to find the ideal drug for use in PC intratumoral therapy. From this study, we concluded that PEI definitely suppressed tumor growth and prolonged survival time in the experimental animals. The therapeutic effect of fluorouracil is better than that of alcohol, and mitomycin had the same therapeutic effect as alcohol.
