摘要
Transmitter positioning plays an important role in many fields such as proactive cognitive radio, asset tracking, and navigation. In this paper, we propose a modified angle of arrival (AoA) based localization method that can be used for near and far field systems using N collinear antennas. We also propose a hybrid TDoA/modified AoA localization approach. Root Mean square error (RMSE) performance of the proposed algorithms is studied and it showed that the hybrid based method increases the maximum range of coverage beyond the maximum range covered by each of the standalone methods.
