摘要
The application of seismic energy dissipation systems is increasing in many countries. This paper presents one new configuration called little-character-toggle-brace. It takes a little room because of lying on the top of the story, and moreover, it utilizes toggle-brace mechanisms to substantially magnify the effect of damping device, so that it can be installed expediently and applied in small structural drift. This paper analyses, the effect of different toggle-brace position in the story and different angle of the toggle-brace to the magnification factor and provides the force in the little-character-toggle-brace-damper and damping radio of the structure. In order to compare the effect of the structure installed the little-character-toggle-brace with the little-character, the diagonal or chevron energy dissipation brace, dynamic response-history analysis of the structure installed separately these four kinds of energy dissipation braces has been conducted using the computer code Sap2000.
