摘要
We have mapped two globules at 100 and 200 mu m wavelength by using ISOPHOT. The thumbprint Nebula (TPN) has no star formation, while the other using: ISOPHOT. The Thumbprint globule, DC 303.8-14.2, las an embedded IRAS point source at its center. The purpose of these observations is to study the properties of dust in these clouds! and to compare their energy balance with each other. There is no morphological difference between the far-infrared surface brightness distributions of these two clouds. The dust temperature at the cloud center is about 13.5 and 14.5 K in TPN and DC 303.8-14.2, re spectively The optical depths at 100 and 200 mu m are equal, The spectral energy distribution of the IRAS source within DC 303.8-14.2 at wavelengths longer than about 60 mu m can be well fitted with a modified blackbody with a temperature of similar to 23 K. The total mass of circumstellar dust is estimated to be about 0.2 M-circle dot. We also compare the ISOPHOT surface brightness calibration with DIRBE and IRAS. At 100 and 200 mu m they are in good agreement.
