摘要
Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) has drawn significant attention and interest in recent years in civil engineering due to its unique and superior properties. The temperature effects of the SMA were analyzed in this paper, and a modified constitutive model of SMA considering the temperature effects was proposed. The mechanics of a novel self-centering energy dissipation device was introduced. The finite element analysis of the device with flag-shaped re-centering responses considering the temperature effects was conducted to verify the mechanics and the hysteretic responses. The analysis results indicate that the effect of the temperature should be considered and the device proposed in this paper has excellent capacity of energy dissipation and property of self-centering.
