Magnetic particle testing - Part 3. The magnetic flow method

The purpose of this series is to explain the various methods of magnetic particle testing in simple language. As few technical terms as possible are used and a glossary of the few which are essential will be given. Part I introduced the concept and theory of magnetisation and Part 2 covered electromagnetic induction. This part covers the magnetic flow method (yoke technique) and deals with aspects to consider when specifying a technique, and sensitivity levels.
