Recently, the courts have had to deal with a series of cases in which, at the time of trial, investigating officers were subject to investigation and/or disciplinary/criminal proceedings. Analysis of these cases gives insight into modern day judicial reasoning where considerations of police corruption arise in the context of the trial process.
