摘要
The nanomaterial containing bio-lubricating agents are potentially utilized for enhancing the lubricating and convective heat transfer characteristics of various industrial systems. This study addresses the lubricating properties of coconut oil estimated by mono-dispersing Graphene-NiO hybrid nanomaterials. The Four-ball wear test is used to estimate the lubricating properties of Graphene-NiO/Coconut oil hybrid nanofluid and base fluid. The magnitude of surface contact deformation of steel balls is monitored at different loading conditions in terms of their wear scar diameters as well as the wear ring width. The results exhibit that the rolling friction minimizes the plastic deformation and welded spots and so the GrapheneNiO/coconut oil hybrid nanofluid enhances lubricating characteristics of base fluid.
