摘要：
Two character formulas for representations of semisimple Lie groups are presented. The question of a direct link between the two formulas is raised. In the (known) case of a compact group, the localization formula of Berline-Vergne provides such a link. An argument in the general case might follow from a hypothetical localization formula for Hamiltonian actions of nonabelian, noncompact groups.
