摘要
This study raises theoretical constructs on Elementary Physical Education and pedagogical innovation. It aims to discuss and systematize innovative pedagogical approaches liable to be undertaken on teaching Physical Education. It points out innovation aproachs related to the organization of curriculum and school knowledge, the methods, techniques and teaching strategies, the materials and resources, the evaluation, the conception-action aspect and the teacher-student relationship, capable of reframing traditional practices of this curricular model. It concludes by emphasizing that the pedagogical attitude towards innovation in Elementary Physical Education, enables, in the first instance, the emergence of innovative and reinvented practices and, in general, the contemporary legitimation of Physical Education in terms of achieving quality assurance through the knowledge covered by this mandatory subject in elementary school.
