摘要
This paper describes the design aspects of large-scale millimeter-wave rectenna and fully-integrated rectifiers for far-distance wireless power transfer (WPT). Considering the atmospheric attenuation and size of the rectenna array, W-band becomes popular for far-distance WPT applications. To maximize the efficiency of WPT system, prior-art rectifying circuits are reviewed, including Schottky-diode-based rectifiers and recently proposed CMOS switching rectifying circuits. The limitations of prior-art designs will be discussed and outlook will be given.
