Enhanced localization and delocalization in surface disordered quantum waveguides with long-range correlation

摘要
A device model of surface disordered quantum waveguides with long-range correlation (LRC) is proposed, in which the disordered building blocks are spatially discrete within the scattering region. The normalized localization length of the device model as a function of energy and correlation exponent is calculated by using a generalized scattering matrix technique. It is shown that both localization and delocalization are enhanced by LRC, similar to that observed in the microwave waveguide. Especially, the delocalization behavior can be controlled by adjusting the ratio of the ordered building blocks to disordered ones. The results are very helpful for the design and applications of electronic waveguide devices. Copyright (C) EPLA, 2010
