On the influence of a finite relative velocity on first sound propagation in liquid 4He II

摘要
The system of equations that describes the sound propagation in superfluid helium at arbitrary values of the relative velocity of the normal and superfluid component is obtained. By using the general dispersion relation of this system, we analyze the influence of a finite relative velocity on the first sound velocity. We find that the change in the first sound velocity is determined by the small value of the thermal expansion coefficient. (C) 2009 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
