摘要
Indoor power line communication (PLC) plays a very crucial role in promoting the development of the smart grid (SG), and the influence will be further by integrating PLC with visible light communication (VLC). Since the integrated system is a time-varying channel due to the changing impedance of the indoor power line networks, it is necessary to obtain the random channel generator for the design of communication algorithm. In this paper, a Top-Down random generator for the channel of the integrated PLC and VLC is proposed. Firstly, based on the PLC, VLC and equivalent LED channel, an analytical model of the integrated system which is determined by a small set of parameters is achieved. Then the variabilities are introduced into the analytical model, and they are restricted by the actual channel. In the next, the parameters of the analytical model are fitted by numerous measurements of the integrated channel. Finally, after obtaining a large number of fitting parameters, the mathematically distributed parameters of the introduced variables are estimated. A large number of simulation results show that the measured channel of the integrated channel can be described effectively by the proposed random channel generator.
