摘要
This paper attempts to examine whether the Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) is successful in Sri Lankan context, and one of the BPR projects in Sri Lanka is chosen. Due to radical changes in a BPR project, several issues could arise in implementing a project. Hayleys Ltd has implemented BPR to different entities within, which had varying results. The paper uses a case study method that investigates the approach that Hayleys Ltd adopted and identifies factors, which would adversely affect a BPR implementation. The findings are set out and bordered on issues such as uncertainty among employees on the implementation of the project, obligation of employees after BPR, and changes that introduced for long-term achievements of the company. It is also seen that some areas would need guidance and corrective action at a later phase to achieve expected results.
