A new method for the preparation of nitrogen-containing heterocycles using diphenylsulfonium triflates

摘要：
Various nitrogen heterocycles were produced by the reactions of of omega-bromoalkyldiphenylsulfonium or diphenylvinylsulfonium triflates with nitrogen nucleophiles. Further, the reactions of diphenylstyrylsulfonium triflates with N-metalated phthalimide and imidazoles afforded alpha-phthalimidostyrenes and alpha-(imidazol-1-yl)styrenes in good yields, respectively.
