摘要
The vehicle glass drop design tool based on KBE (knowledge-based on engineering) is one of the special modules for building the parameterized structural modeling of auto body. The key issue of this design tool is how to create barrel surface and glass running channel according to input objects and parameters. The barrel surface should go through defined points of glass, and the deviation between the created barrel surface and the styling surface must be controlled within the range of the limited tolerance of design specification. So engineers can simulate the process of glass dropping along the channels to verify the interferer between glass and door system. To resolve above issues,the parameterized model is created at first, in which optimizing method and KF(knowledge fusion) techniques are adopted. then the optimized process is integrated into the glass' drop design tool by coding with UG/Open API functions and C language. All testing results show that the optimizing method effectively solves the key issue of this kind of KBE problem and improves the efficiency of door assembly development.
