摘要
In the face of economic globalization, the development of multinational corporations (MNCs) has become a trend, thus cultural differences is a critical issue for both multinational and domestic companies. Research and theory suggest that employee performance management (EPM) is a critical component of any HR system and the use of EPM that are geared towards the cultural expectations of the host countries' employees of MNCs, may help these firms create competitive advantages and avoid possible failure in their business operations. In this paper, China and Germany as an example, the different characteristics of performance management are analysised from the perspective of the national culture. This approach will make significant contributions to both research and practice for the Sion-German cooperation.
