摘要
Based on the theoretical bending stiffness model for a symmetrical three-ply structure a model was developed, which could predict the maximum bending stiffness of a three-ply symmetric structure its a function of density and elastic modulus. The model was tested with the experimental data, which has either been generated in Our laboratory or with the reported data of the literature. The model accurately predicted the maximum bending stiffness based on the share of middle layer basis weight. It was concluded that the model is a useful and rapid tool for papermakers to predict the maximum bending stiffness for either coated papers or three-ply boards for a given furnish.
