摘要
The goal of the MOKASSIN project is to support business-process and systems integration. Existing applications will be agentified in order to enable their interoperability. The behaviour of the entire system comprising heterogeneous applications should be guided by business-process models. Based on several case-studies the main requirements were derived. These case studies showed that thinking in terms of processes may be valuable for analysis purposes but not For the specification of the users-needs, Due to the interesting insights we gained the case-studies are outlined in more detail in this paper. From a systems point of view the end-users can be classified into users of information systems and users of intelligent systems. The following chapters will explain in detail how MOKASSIN supports both of these user-groups with an agent-based workflow system. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
