摘要
Stick-Slip dynamic behavior often observed between a plate and a slider supported by a spring was simulated by Cellular Automata. The frictional vibration has been studied for a long time including stick-slip behavior and various modeling methods have been proposed. Though the mechanism has been understood to some extent, the prediction of period and amplitude is still believed to be complex. This may be caused by the complexity of surfaces, and the governing equation cannot be derived. In such cases, Cellular Automata may be a strong tool of modeling. In this study, we succeeded in modeling the friction dynamics by introducing local dynamics between solid surfaces. Based on spring-block model proposed by Burridge and Knopoff, a new layer of internal surface was introduced to consider the contact area of sliding surfaces. The stick slip dynamic behavior was successfully simulated by this new model.
