摘要：

The purpose of this paper is to reveal the essence of postmodernist explication of value foundations beneath the historical consciousness based on the analysis of methodological principles underpinning the postmodernism philosophy of history. The paper relies on the dialectical and axiological methods, and the method of multivariant explication. The conclusion has been made that the meaning of elimination of the traditional value of history for culture in the postmodernism philosophy consists in recognition of risk as an integral element of social being. This leads, on the one hand, to a situation of anomie, and, on the other hand, to a renewed value structure of the society, characterized by such axiological determinants as creative individualism, antifunctionalism, anti-utilitarianism, and multiculturalism.
