摘要
The purpose of this article is to understand and analyze the concept, problem and emergence of a Sociology of Knowledge within the scope of Cultural Sciences. Through the bibliographic method, we searched through the works of Karl Mannheim "Ideology and Utopia" (1929) and "Sociology of Knowledge" (1925) the concept of "crisis" as a process inherent to the logic of paradigmatic transformations in the midst of intellectual tension of the beginning of the 20th century. The in-depth works will allow us to characterize the fundamental methods and elements for understanding the knowledge of sociology, conflicts and their interactions. We will initially address the problem and the emergence of a sociology of knowledge, then we will talk about the definition and subdivisions of the Sociology of Knowledge and finally, an overview with one of the predecessors of the Sociology of Knowledge: Karl Marx.
