摘要
The reflections introduced in this contribution are born from a question: What's involve for the sociologists to develop their theoretical and empirical work in a society where the image has became more and more diffuse and she has became the privileged channel of the communication ? To answer to this question I will consider three aspects-of the topic "sociology and society of the image", interconnected among them. At first, I will consider the concept of the sociology of the image from the point of view of the socials implications (of the power), of the visualization and the visibility. Successively I will focus my attention on the subjects and in particular on the importance to study in depth and to analyze what they do with the images. I will finally discuss the problem related to the growth knowledge that the study of the images and of the communication by images is able to bring to the socials sciences.
