The aim of this paper is to evaluate the code division multiple access capability considering synchronization performance on bi-orthogonal modulation systems. In particular, the tracking performance, the bit error rate (BER) considering tracking performance, and the effect of co-channel interference cancelling techniques are evaluated by theoretical analysis. Consequently, it is found that the optimum ratio of information signal energy to the synchronizing energy varies with E-b/N-0. The co-channel interference canceller is better for small K than for large K (K = the number of users). Moreover, it is found that the BER performance considering synchronization performance improves as the equivalent noise bandwidth B-n decreases.
