Structure of iron-containing particles deposited on carbon as studied by Mossbauer spectroscopy

摘要
The composition of iron-containing particles in pores of SUA iron-containing activated carbon after its treatment in a hydrogen atmosphere at 700 degreesC is studied by Mossbauer spectroscopy on Fe-57. The measured contents of iron and iron oxides in samples with various distributions of the Fe-57 isotope suggest that the presence of oxides in the adsorbents is a result of the oxidation of alpha -Fe particles by air oxygen after annealing in H-2.
