摘要
In order to clarify the effect of Fe impurity content on the development of recrystallization textures in Al-5%Mg alloys, Al-5%Mg alloys containing Fe up to 0.40% were cold rolled 95 % and annealed at temperatures between 275 and 450 degreesC. Their textures were investigated with the orientation distribution function analysis. It was found that, at low annealing temperatures, addition of Fe up to 0.10% remarkably increased retained rolling texture components in the recrystallization texture. This was ascribed to the precipitation of Fe during recrystallization. Addition of Fe more than 0.20 % randomized such retained rolling textures, since particle stimulated nucleation of randomly oriented nuclei occurred around coarse Al3Fe particles. At high annealing temperatures, addition of Fe up to 0.20 % significantly enhanced the development of texture of type {100}[001]. Nucleation of {103}[321] texture, which is the well-known main orientation of the Al-5%Mg alloy, was found to be strongly suppressed by the addition of Fe.
