摘要
This paper represents fractional-order concept of PID controller and its application on Automatic Voltage Regulator. The aim of the work is to model and control the performance of an AVR with FOPID controller and compare the performance of the first with conventional PID controller. The comparison has been shown via simulation results in MATLAB using augmented FOMCON toolbox to show the superiority of FOPID controller over the PID controller.
