摘要
The static spectral characteristic response of a ring resonator in the form of racetrack with a multimode interference (MMI) coupler has been numerically simulated and investigated. The generalized multimode transmission matrix of the MMI has been evaluated with beam-propagation method simulation and furthermore, the effect of the excitation of higher order modes in the ring resonator on the device-transmission characteristic has been analyzed.
