On thermodynamic properties and atomic structure of amorphous and liquid alloys

摘要
Different behaviors of the specific heat capacity of crystalline, amorphous, and liquid matter as well as glass transition and crystallization processes are considered. A hypothesis on the nature of the amorphous and liquid state based on the analysis of the experimental data is framed. The structural model is tested using X-ray diffraction data for the Cu75Ge25 liquid alloy. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
