X-ray Kβ emission line of iron in magnetic oxides

摘要
The shape of the K-beta line in the emission spectra of iron has been investigated for Fe2O3, Fe3O4 and lithium ferrite aluminates. Two clearly defined IOW energy K-beta satellites were observed. The positions of the satellite lines were explained as being due to plasmon excitations of some electrons in atoms forming the crystalline lattice. These oscillations occur independently for groups of atoms belonging to different lattice positions.
