摘要：
The lack of implementation of modern information systems in manufacturing SMEs is discussed. The problem is investigated by consulting relevant publications, reviewing the commercial software available to SMEs and by carrying out a series of interviews with local companies. On the basis of the results, a comprehensive programme is outlined which aims to assist SMEs with the specification and implementation of information systems appropriate to their needs.
