SPACE AND SUBJECT IN GENNADII AIGI'S POETRY

The article discusses the connection between poetic subjectivity and spatial structures in Gennadii Aigi's poetry. The spatial image of "pole" (field) is crucial for the poet, as it possesses a number of stable features, such as the presence of border, observation point and relief. The same traits are present in another spatial image of Aigi's early poetry the image of "poliana" (clearing). These two related spatial entities constitute a specific intermediate type of space located between the woods and the countryside; the in-betweenness of this space reflects the in-betweenness of poetic subjectivity and its links with different types of space.
