摘要
The healthcare environment is generally 'information rich' but 'knowledge poor'. The convenience and ease of Internet is mesmerizing the healthcare sector setting the trend for e-Healthcare with e-Patients. There is a wealth of data available within the healthcare systems but they lack effective analysis tools to discover hidden relationships and trends in data. Data mining has found various applications in business and scientific domains and is conveying the advantages can be applied to healthcare. Valuable knowledge can be discovered with the application of data mining techniques to facilitate; e-Patients for disease specific better care and understanding through e-Healthcare.
